Vtech Sit stand Learning Walker Walmart
When I first got this walker for my little one he was 9 months old and just started pulling him self up and walking around the crib. I thought these were signs that he is ready to start walking so I got him this walker. Unfortunately his moves were still very uncoordinated and he kept falling with the walker. At that point the walker was still very unsafe for him so I put it away. I took it out when he was 11 months and to my surprise he did great, no more falling at all. He was able to use it immediately so I believe no walker will work when the baby is not ready yet. I'm giving this walker 3 stars for two reasons. First I think the name is a bit misleading as I don't think this is a good product to learn how to stand up so "Sit-to-Stand Learning" is a bit misleading. I do however think that if a baby learned how to stand up properly this becomes a great walker. The second reason is that the play panel freezes all the time and is very annoying, so we don't even turn it on anymore and use it only as a walker. I do daycare, and this has been a favorite since we received it. I'm usually very pleased with Vtech toys in general, but this one hits it out of the park. I have one child who sits independently, and is just learning hand eye coordination. All he has to do is graze it with a touch, and it lights up, and plays music. He loves it. Then I have a 21 mo. old and we are starting to work on colors and such. The toy has a switch, and it changes it to a learning toy, so when things are touched it says colors and what not. Plus the fact that it's a walker, which is perfect for the almost 12 mo. old. Don't even get me started on the "peek a boo game" they can play, that gets an erruption of giggles! My son 10month old son is learning to walk, so we bought this as we didn't have room for a regular walker. He took to it immediately. He was running all through the house with it. He LOVES IT. Within 2 days of using this toy he was taking his first steps unassisted. Excellent toy to teach them how to balance their weight, since the toy will go when they push it. We used it on carpet and he did great, he also did good on the slick kitchen floor. NO problems. But you do need to supervise. My only complaint is that the noise on this toy is almost enough to drive you insane. It is a little overwhelming, even for my little one. He prefers to play with it without the sound on. It's too many sounds at once, talking, singing, beeping... If you have a soon-to-be-walker, buy this toy! It's awesome and durable, they'll play with this long after they learn to walk! My 8 yr old likes to play with it too! hahaha
